Jam Jams

Ingredients
1 cup shortening
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs beaten
6 tbsp. corn syrup
2 tsp. Baking soda
1 tsp. Vanilla
¼ tsp. Salt
3-4 cups flour
Instructions
Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs, syrup and vanilla. Sift baking soda with the flour and add gradually until it becomes stiff enough to roll. Chill dough in refrigerator.
Roll out and cut with a cookie cutter. Bake at 350’ for 8 minutes.
Cool cookies then spread jam on one cookie and top it with another. Press down lightly and store in an airtight container. Freeze well.
